Making Waves

This video sequence forms part of Book 3 Activity 9.1 and demonstrates important properties of waves using a ripple tank demonstration and experiments with lasers. It then gives a preview of the experiment you will be carrying out for yourself in Activity 11.1. You should stop the video when instructed to do so and take readings, either from the screen or from Figure 9.3 and Figure 9.4 in the course book. The video running time is 25 minutes and we expect the whole activity will take you approximately 1 hour.
