This assessment consists of 10 questions on Book 1 Chapter 7.
You are not expected to get all of the questions right first time, and should find that even numbered questions are more taxing than odd numbered questions. You can redo any question or assessment as often as you like, and will find that in the majority of cases, some of the variables in each question will change, providing you with a new set of problems to solve.
You do not have to attempt all of the questions in one go, as the system will register which ones you have already attempted and what remains to be completed. Each question should take an average of ~5 minutes to complete, although some may slightly longer; the whole assessment will therefore take approximate 1 - 1½ hours to complete. If it takes you significantly longer, please let us know by completing the relevant section of the feedback question (Q11)!
You can navigate round the SOFA by using the numbered list that will appear on the left side of the screen or by clicking the ‘Next’ button at the end of each question.
By clicking on the ‘end test’ button at the top right of the screen, you can stop working on a particular SOFA at any time. Clicking the ‘finish’ button will bring up your summary of results, which are linked to the key learning outcomes for this chapter. We recommend that you print this summary page (using the print function in your web browser), as a record of your current progress.
